🌄AT THE TYPEWRITER🌄

Hey friends and family👋🏽,
Welcome back to another newsletter. I’ve been busy writing, writing, and you guessed it… more writing!
I’ve found that by dedicating a chunk of time to one task is a great way to explore your methods, approach, and skill level for an activity. In this case, I’m focusing in on writing. When you focus on a task for a long period of time there isn’t any opportunity to hide from your weaknesses. You’re forcing yourself to confront who you are, what you are trying to accomplish, and how skilled you are at current moment to do it. It’s a harsh reality to face, but necessary in order for you to grow.
Here are a couple things I thought you should know or might like! ⚡
I’ve been reading through some of my favorite webcomics and also starting some new manga. I thought I would start off this list with Paranatural. I started reading this series a long time ago in middle school when I had just joined ComicFury. What captivated me immediately was the art and humor, but as the story continues things get more serious. It’s a mystery, action, adventure about a kid that can see ghosts and can interact with them through a medium. If you like super powers, humor, and mystery then I think you’ll dig this.
If you like rpg style action adventures then Autumn Wing is the story for you. Autumn is a soft-hearted nephilim child with dreams of becoming a hero much like the ones he reads about: brave, fierce, respected, and worthy. Everything his experience so far told him he wasn’t. So when it's his time to embark on the customary pilgrimage across the world to forge one’s own halo, he jumps at the chance. He believes that completing this quest—becoming a full angel—will make him a hero, and grant what he’s longed for. Unfortunately, he must journey through a land fraught with danger and cruelty to reach one of the few remaining Sacred Flames required to complete the quest: the fire within the throat of a powerful Dragon, OR the flames of a dying Phoenix. Neither will part with its Flame willingly. The reason I like this story is its authentic storytelling and amazing pace!
Blue Period is a manga that I just started reading this month after having watched the pilot episode months ago. I feel silly for taking so long to get back to it because it’s so good! If you’re an aspiring artist then I would definitely check it out. It’s about a highschooler that’s not really sure what they want to do with life but figures if he plays it safe and smart he can probably get through it. That is, until he bumps into art and realizes that creating artwork makes him “feel alive”. Follow his artistic journey as he doubts if he is good enough or if the career will be able to sustain him. The reason that I enjoy this story is that it feels so relatable.
Now for some things that I’ve been working on. I made a draft mini trailer for “ignition”:
Additionally, to take a break from writing and art I’ve been creating lofi remixes of Megman Battle Network Games:
